Photographer, painter and ceramist, Diego Loffredo borns in Naples in 1974, the city where he actually lives and works. He deeply experiences his city, walking along the streets searching for its colors, shadows. He expecially concentrates on the souls that live the city, on the real spirit of Naples, looking at faces, movements and looks of the people. In his photos there is always that kind of living presence, that fills the frame he wants to tell.
His artistic formation is full and complete. He trains at De Stefano’s art school where he studies painting. And painting is still an important component of his works, that leaves a tangible sign in his photography. But it’s not only a living presence, infact some recent paintings are a reproduction on canvas of his recent photographs. So painting and photography are strictly linked, one bases on the other.
